Remembrances of Friends Departed & Deeply Missed

If one is lucky enough to live a reasonably long life, one must endure the reality that we all have different expiration dates. I have been lucky to know a great many people, some of them well enough to not only miss dearly, but to have something small but meaningful to share about them. I've collected some of those remembrances here, as I want to be able to revisit them now and again. Thanks for letting me share them with you.

  • Chris Nicholson - longtime fan turned friend, co-editor of Treasures in My Chest, and Food Czar at our beloved Mountville Folk Festival

  • Matthew Bouley - my childhood friend and longtime musical partner, including drummer for Nor'easter and my first CD Traveler.

  • Sean Kelly - my frequent tour partner bassist and “brother from another mother”

  • Ian Thomas Parks - fellow singer/songwriter, gifted artist and my 2nd cousin too

  • My grand aunt Muriel Tarwood, cherished and revered elder, and conscientious caretaker of so much of our family history.

  • Keith Pitzer - a wonderful songwriter and labelmate at Falling Mountain, and a champion of northern West Virginia's Cheat River

  • Cacey Combs - neighbor, former co-worker and wonderfully talented graphic artist who designed Turning Pages

  • Alyssa Sheehan Huntley - my grad school housemate

And tributes to some pretty incredible furry family members,

Teddy: A Fond Remembrance of a Dear and Silly Old Dog (and National Racing Champion)
La Gatita con Manchas - a Celebration of an Amazingly Long Life.
