Catch the Band's Set at Mountville Folk Festival

Since they first joined forces back in 2008, Andrew and his Beyond Borders bandmates have served as the “host band” for the Mountville Folk Festival in nearby Aldie, Virginia. Now in its 32nd year, Mountville has grown from a backyard singer/songwriter gathering into an intimate community experience on a beautiful setting. The production team now includes a dedicated livestream team handling the broadcast each year, so you can enjoy the band's set from this year's festival right here (or click to Watch on YouTube).

The entire Main Stage performances can be seen here on the festival website - be sure to catch Beyond Borders bandmates Les and Stephanie Thompson with their Americana group The Waychangers kicking off Friday night, and Lisa Taylor hosting a women songwriters-in-the-round set to close down Friday's show - with a big assist from her daughter Rachel on cello. Mountville's lineup is always a great diversity of folk and roots music, and you'll no doubt find plenty to enjoy if you take the time to watch the Main Stage videos, including Andrew's friends and past collaborators Pat Wictor (8pm Saturday) and Randy Barrett (with his powerhouse bluegrass band Big Howdy 7pm Saturday).

As you can see from the band's setlist, they pivoted away from the mostly co-written set they've been doing since last year's Mountville (also caught on film this spring) to “throw it back” to their roots in Andrew's Something Worth Standing For and the band's One Virginia Night albums. If you enjoy a good jam, be sure not to miss the encore of their signature song featuring Lisa's drum solo and an extended improvisation with Rachel on cello.

Oh, and yes, the stage lights kept going out during their set, but the band played on just fine!
