Ten Veterans Celebrated in Songs of Healing

November 10, 2025

This Veterans Day 2025 will be special for ten veterans who participated in Music Therapy Retreats (MTR) this year.

MTR helps veterans and trauma survivors find healing through the power of music therapy at retreats across the country, where participants learn, write, and record their own songs as part of their healing journey. A partnership with Breedlove gets each participant a guitar of their own, as part of the therapeutic after care as well as mindfulness exercises and other healing tools.

MTR's annual fundraiser is officially live, and this year’s Stories & Songs, Vol. 4 features 10 original songs from retreat participants. Working one on one with professional songwriters to help tell their stories in a way that helps rewire their combat traumas has been a powerful and uplifting experience for them, as well as an incredibly rewarding experience for each of the songwriters working with the vets. We are humbled and honored that “Good Enough,” Andrew's collaboration with Brandon Edge, leads off the album!

And for the first time ever, the album is available on vinyl with donations up through December 2nd, Giving Tuesday! All of the merchandise for this fundraiser is limited-edition and exclusive to this album, featuring special artwork that won’t be reprinted.

“Good Enough” was recorded at Andrew's home base, bandmate Les Thompson's Cabin Studios, engineered and mixed by longtime collaborator Dustin DeLage. Dustin also played drums, while Andrew played acoustic and electric guitars, and bass along with the vocals.

MTR's campaign runs from Veterans Day through December 2nd, and every dollar raised helps fund retreats across the country. Learn more and make your tax-deductible deduction here: https://musictherapyretreats.org/stories-and-songs-vol-4/
