Beyond Borders Planning 2025 Studio Album

Over the years since their 2008 debut at the prestigious John F. Kennedy Center in Washington DC, Andrew and Beyond Borders bandmates Lisa Taylor, Stephanie Thompson and founding Nitty Gritty Dirt Band member Les Thompson have co-written and performed several songs together that are staples of their shows. For the past several years, they've performed only a handful of shows each year, in large part due to Les's busy schedule touring with fellow NGDB alumnus John McEuen doing their Will the Circle Be Unbroken retrospective show. Andrew and his bandmates have been busy these last few months, retooling their show to play as a trio when Les is unavailable, and also adding some new material.

While many of their songs like “Hey Alligator,” “Tailwind,” and “Guitar Man” (see and hear it below!) are concert favorites, they've never been recorded. We're excited to announce that after finishing their November shows, Beyond Borders are indeed are planning a big studio effort this winter to record well over a dozen songs with the intent of a 2025 release. The project kicks off December 13th at Les's Cabin Studios with Stephanie's son and Andrew's longtime engineer Dustin DeLage at the controls.

We've started a blog here to share the process along the way, including photos and videos from the studio - come follow along.
