"Appomattox" in New Maryland Civil War Exhibit

The long-awaited "Musical Treasures of The Civil War" Exhibit has opened at The Discovery Station (Science and History Museum), 101 West Washington St, Hagerstown MD. Singer/songwriter Jennie Avila has worked on a CD of songs inspired by letters and documents from the residents of nearby Sharpsburg MD around the epic 1862 Battle of Antietam, and the exhibit is largely inspired in part by her work. In addition to Jennie's songs and Andrew's "The Road to Appomattox", the exhibit also includes includes civil war songs, traditional and original compositions by Magpie, Kim and Reggie Harris, Anne Hills, Judy Cook and Bob Zentz.

Hear the original version of "The Road to Appomattox" from Andrew's 3rd CD Turning Pages, and see the video from the Andrew McKnight & Beyond Borders CD/DVD One Virginia Night below.
