More About the Series

As the Northern Hemisphere turns towards cold weather and long nights, we're into the fourth season of "Long Nights Livestream Series," a somewhat regular schedule of at least one livestream a month through March. Since starting in the wake of the pandemic, Andrew has evolved and adapted to create unique interactive broadcast experiences centered around live performances from the “Make-a-Living” room integrated with his photography, videos and more. While we eventually toggle past performances to unlisted, you can circle back to see the earlier shows from the season down below.

In general, most will be on an "off" night like Thursday or Sunday, so as not to keep you from supporting live performances in your own neighborhood, and at least one per season will be at a Europe-friendly time. Most shows broadcast on our YouTube channel, while occasionally a concert might be livestreamed in conjunction with other presenters. All of our productions are free with donations gratefully accepted, and others will be ticketed.

All of the scheduled livestreams will be clearly indicated on the Tour schedule, so you can plan accordingly and add things to your own calendar.

The advances in live video streaming technology since Andrew's first “vidcast” in a 2010 blizzard have made so many incredible experiences possible, and allowing you to participate in the Live Chat from wherever you are in the world. A few tips for your best livestream viewing experience:

  • shut down unneeded internet & wifi devices during the show to preserve bandwidth (your internet download capacity)
  • shut down unneeded apps on your viewing device during the show to reduce strain on your computer/device processing power (and it's not a bad idea to reboot and start fresh before we begin).
  • check your internet download speed with an app like speedtest.com
  • if the stream freezes or stutters, try reloading or refreshing the page

Most importantly, I offer my huge thanks for your generosity. These are fun events - no two alike - and that livestreams allow us connection and community across distances large and little.
