Andrew is thrilled to return for a 3rd year of teaching songwriting workshops for middle and high school students as part of the Chords of Courage Step Up! Songwriting Contest. Open to any students from 6th to 12th grade attending school in Frederick County, Maryland, the contest "encourages them to use their creativity to write dynamic and powerful songs about people of particular courage." Andrew's workshops help students to break down "writer's block," develop lyrical structure and use elements of basic music theory to create songs with powerful messages and hooks.
If you live anywhere near Frederick MD, we encourage you to come support and enjoy a night of the award-winning songs, performed live with a terrific house band, on Saturday March 28 at 7:30 pm. The Awards Concert will be held at the JBK Theater, Frederick Community College, 7932 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick MD.
