"Sound of Home" Film Premiere

Now that Andrew has received and starting touring with his special native wood Fairbuilt Guitar made for him, he's also put in a lot of work with film editor Dave Kiser to finish the mini-documentary  "Sound of Home". Photographer and videographer Sarah Huntington filmed the story over two years, from the original brainstorming the concepts on paper and conversation at the Fairbuilt shop up til the moment Andrew walks out on stage with it for the first time. Andrew and his Beyond Borders bandmates wrote and recorded "By A Craftsman's Hand", the soundtrack song - hear it down below.

The film premiered at Artspace in Herndon VA on Saturday June 13th 2015, along with an exhibit of five of the guitars built for the project and a concert featuring Andrew McKnight & Beyond Borders and Fairbuilt founder Martin Fair's band The Spruce Brothers (mandolinist and fellow luthier Stuart Orser also works at Fairbuilt). It was an extraordinary event celebrating the music, craftsmanship and traditions of the northern Virginia hills. Many thanks to ArtspaceHerndon.org and the Virginia Commission for the Arts for making this one of a kind evening happen!
