More Songwriting with Middle & High School Students

A group of eager young writers at one of the Chords of Courage workshopsAndrew enjoyed a second year leading three free songwriting workshops for aspiring middle and high school songwriters in Frederick County, Maryland as part of the Chords of Courage Student Songwriting Contest. He worked with over a dozen young writers teaching and discussing the craft of songwriting, while offering one on one help with their submissions.

Chords of Courage is dedicated to changing the conversation from the demoralizing and cynical to the hopeful and inspirational – one song at a time. This contest is the first of its kind in the world, open to Frederick County (Maryland) middle and high school age students, to encourage young writers to use their creativity to write dynamic and powerful songs about people of particular courage.
