Mayday, Mayday, Free Things for You!

GET A FREE CD OR DOWNLOAD! Through May 19th - help me raise some money and reduce some inventory, and I help you have some great new music in your collection.

For the CD collectors, buy any 2 CDs at the website ($23.98 plus shipping) and with the first 12 orders we'll include a free out of print Making Music Matter compilation CD from my old Falling Mountain Music label - a $15 add on value. The 20-track CD includes music from the label's artists spanning a dizzying array of original and traditional folk roots and world music. It includes two tracks I recorded specifically for that CD, the traditional "1845" played and sung in three part harmony with the late Keith Pitzer and Randy Barrett, and a guitar duet with Michael DeLalla, an irreverently jazzy take on the Celtic staple "Red Haired Boy". When and if that runs out, the free gift will be a digital download of my currently out of print 2nd CD Where This River Runs, featuring "Shenandoah Moon", "The Other Way" and "Big Sky Town" and including Bruce Molsky on fiddle, Terri Allard on harmony vocals and a bunch more great guests.

For the digital downloaders, buy any 2 CD downloads (total $16) and get the full live concert download Live: Bound for Glory as my gift, complete with the stories between the songs indexed as separate tracks so you can listen or skip them as you desire. That's a $10 add-on value free, and a small token of gratitude for your support! We'll email you a download code for the concert when we get your order, simple as that.

Sale ends at midnight May 19th - no special codes needed. A huge thanks for your support - come on over for a look and listen! Online orders only, not valid with any other sale.

Making Music Matter was released in 2006 to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Falling Mountain Music label founded by virtuoso guitarist and composer Michael DeLalla. The compilation includes works from the label's artists at that time, including traditional singer Debra Cowan, dulcimer legend Madeline MacNeil, West Virginia folk duo Keith & Joan Pitzer, award-winning bluegrass singer/songwriter Randy Barrett, roots duo wild carrot, and Michael's world music ensemble Oxymora as well as his traditional Celtic trio The Unfortunate Rakes. The 20 tracks include the title cut from Andrew's Beyond Borders CD and "Diary", his duet with Mary Byrd Brown from Turning Pages. It's an exquisite 76 minutes of music!
