Thanks for Connecting - Directly!

It's no secret that the usefulness of social media is in deep decay for things upon which we've grown to depend - primarily connection and interaction with other human beings. If you know most any type of creative person/business personally, you've likely seen the lament, the anger and frustrations, and most of all the desire to stay connected with you about their work. I addressed my own ideas how to bypass these challenges last year in this article, and if you care to spend 3 minutes revisiting it now I'd be grateful, https://andrewmcknight.net/.../5-ways-to-help-your...

The one big takeaway though, for most all of us, is that subscribing to our email or text lists allows us to continue sharing our work with you without trying to outwit algorithm$ and their overlords. It's less satisfying, because frankly social media allows us to have conversations about things, whereas email is a bit more of the old one-way communication, and I do relish the conversations! But without being able to stay in touch reliably, those conversations will be even less likely to happen when we figure out "a new way".

So if you do read my article, AND you're willing to tolerate one more email a month - one that includes notes, pictures and news along with the upcoming tour and livestream dates - then I'd also request that you take ten seconds on the right side of my homepage to subscribe to "A Storytender's Journey", my monthly email newsletter (aka E-Zine).

Most of all, for your favorite bands, artists and other creative folks, please do consider signing up for their email or text connections. I can assure you that most of the creative arts industry is in a similar struggle, in spite of how things might appear to the public.

And thanks for reading this, and especially if you make the time for my article too.
