This month is a big thank you for a LOT of things! Firstly, the performance calendar is getting busier thanks to some special folks on the email list, and grateful doesn't begin to cover it!
But I'm grateful for so many other things too - your emails and notes in the mail, the donations in all their forms, the folks who keep showing up at my livestreams and shows, and share my music with their friends, and of course the comments, likes and shares on social media too. I can't begin to tell you how much it all matters, both in growing my audience and keeping me going too, especially during these challenging times and circumstances in the performing arts.
For several years, I have aimed my performing "outside" of the music business and even the folk club circuit, in large part because the talented competition for limited opportunities is intense and the challenges of getting folks out on a given night depends more than ever on the chaos of the outside world.
I'm doing my best to create my own pathway for what I do, and I'm so grateful for your help in getting me in front of people who might enjoy that, regardless of how anyone might label it. For better or worse, I've built my own brand as an artist centered around what I do and what I inspires me, and I just keep working hard to make sure it available to people who might enjoy it.
And the overwhelming reason I've been able to keep making art and bringing it to the world for 30 plus years is the direct enthusiasm and support from you and people like you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
If you know someone who might be able to help set up and/or host a concert or appropriate performance event, please email us or help connect us with them directly. If you need to share my musical resume with someone, http://andrewmcknight.net/epk.
